About RSO files

The .RSO file extension is primarily a Wii Relocatable Object Module used by developers to dynamically load executable code on the Nintendo Wii console. In rare cases, it also functions as an NXT Brick Audio File for LEGO Mindstorms NXT robotics, or an ARIS Report Script Object File used by Software AG. Because these formats are highly specialized and tied to obsolete or proprietary hardware, .RSO files are exceptionally difficult to open on modern operating systems. For Wii development, custom SDKs are required to analyze the machine code. For LEGO NXT audio, standard media players cannot decode the low-bitrate format natively. The ARIS script format is locked behind expensive enterprise software suites. You need to convert these files to make the data usable.
