Opening these files natively on modern systems is virtually impossible. Professional Write and AlphaSmart hardware have been discontinued for decades. Seattle FilmWorks software is a 16-bit application that refuses to run on 64-bit Windows or macOS. PearlMountain collages require active software installations and trap your designs in a proprietary ecosystem. The major disadvantage of the .PWP format is complete vendor lock-in and a total lack of cross-platform compatibility.
