About PPTHTML files
The .PPTHtml format is an outdated Microsoft PowerPoint HTML Presentation file. It was created when users saved legacy slide decks as web pages using the "Save as Web Page" feature in older versions of Microsoft PowerPoint.
This format is notoriously fragmented and problematic. A .PPTHtml file is rarely standalone; it acts as an index document that relies entirely on a companion folder full of XML, image, and CSS assets. If you separate the file from its asset folder, it becomes useless. Furthermore, the HTML code generated by older PowerPoint versions relies heavily on proprietary tags, VML (Vector Markup Language), and ActiveX controls. This causes severe rendering errors and broken layouts in modern web browsers like Chrome or Firefox.
To restore usability, you need to convert this file into a self-contained, modern format like PDF for reliable sharing, or back to PPTX for editing.
Because it relies on outdated Microsoft-specific web standards and external asset folders, standard online converters often fail to process it correctly.
Convert.Guru analyzes your PPTHTML file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
