Extract text from Power2Go disc images (P2I)

A .P2I file is a proprietary disc image or project file created by CyberLink Power2Go, a popular Windows application for authoring optical media. Users generate these files to store an exact sector-by-sector copy of a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc, or to save the layout of an ongoing disc-burning project so they can resume work later.
The main disadvantage of the .P2I format is its strictly proprietary nature. Unlike standard ISO files, .P2I images cannot be natively mounted by the operating system in Windows or macOS. Accessing, mounting, or burning these files requires a paid license or trial installation of Power2Go. This makes the format a poor choice for long-term data archiving or file sharing, as it forces vendor lock-in on whoever receives the file.
For maximum compatibility, users need to convert .P2I files to standard ISO disc images or extract the raw contents into standard ZIP archives. However, because this is a closed file format, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original software can reliably mount the image or convert the full disc structure without data loss.
