It is a highly proprietary, compressed binary format created by older versions of the Opera Mini mobile browser to save web pages for offline reading. Historically, these files were opened exclusively by Opera Mini on Java ME, Symbian, or early Android devices. The format relies on server-side rendering techniques that pre-process web content to save bandwidth. The primary disadvantage of an .OBML15 file is its closed, proprietary nature. It is completely unreadable in modern web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or even current desktop versions of the Opera browser.
