About NPV2 files
A .npv2 file is a configuration profile used to set up a Virtual Private Network connection in the NapsternetV application or NetPal VPN. These files store network routing rules, server IP addresses, and proxy protocol details for censorship circumvention tools like V2Ray, Xray, or Shadowsocks.
The main disadvantage of the .npv2 format is its proprietary, closed design. File creators often export these files in a 'locked' or encrypted state to hide the raw server credentials and payload information from the end user. This prevents you from viewing the contents in a standard text editor. Furthermore, they are tied to a specific mobile application and are not natively supported by desktop operating systems or standard VPN protocols like OpenVPN or WireGuard.
Users typically want to convert .npv2 files to JSON or TXT to extract the underlying proxy links (such as vmess:// or vless://) and use them in alternative desktop clients. However, because this is a closed format protected by app-specific encryption, standard online converters fail to process it. Often only the original NapsternetV software can properly read or export the network data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NPV2 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The NPV2 Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NPV2 converter.
