To convert other file formats to the "VPN Configuration File" file type, you need software like NapsternetV or a similar tool.
The .NPV file is a proprietary VPN configuration file created for the NapsternetV mobile application. This software acts as a versatile multiple-tunnel VPN client, utilizing advanced protocols like V2ray, Psiphon, and SSH.
Users rely on .NPV files to easily share and import custom server proxies, injection payloads, and routing rules without needing to configure complex network settings manually. However, these files are intentionally encrypted by the creator. This encryption is a major disadvantage for users who want to modify the file or extract the server details, as it locks the data to prevent server scraping and unauthorized tampering.
You cannot open an .NPV file in a standard text editor; it will appear as scrambled, unreadable code. Ideally, users want to convert these files to JSON or TXT to extract the raw V2ray or SSH configurations for use in other desktop clients.
Because this format is closed and securely encrypted, standard online converters fail to parse the data. Only the NapsternetV app can natively decrypt and apply the settings.
