The .NLX file extension is primarily a proprietary configuration container for NapsternetV, a popular Android client for managing V2Ray, Psiphon, and Shadowsocks VPN protocols. These files encapsulate encrypted server details, transport keys, and obfuscation settings required to bypass network censorship. The main limitation of .NLX files is their lack of interoperability; they are designed specifically for the mobile app ecosystem and are often heavily obfuscated, preventing users from viewing the server address or port in a standard text editor like Notepad.
