About NLX files

An .NLX file is primarily an encrypted VPN configuration file used by the NapsternetV VPN client or Psiphon to route network traffic securely. These files contain essential connection data, including proxy settings, server addresses, and authentication payloads. Alternatively, a small percentage of .NLX files act as a MyDraw XML Library developed by Nevron Software, used for storing diagram shapes. The major disadvantage of the VPN .NLX format is its proprietary encryption. You cannot simply open these files in a text editor to extract server details, and they require the original app to function. This vendor lock-in prevents users from transferring their VPN configurations to open-source protocols like OVPN (OpenVPN) or CONF (WireGuard). Standard online converters fail to process these files because they lack the decryption keys. This is why this file format is difficult to open or convert; usually, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
