About NDT files

The .NDT file extension is most commonly associated with two distinct applications: game data files for RF Online and Atlantica Online, and X-ray fluorescence data generated by Thermo Scientific Niton XRF Analyzers. In gaming contexts, .NDT files store configuration tables, item attributes, and internal environment parameters. In scientific applications, they contain raw elemental analysis data captured by handheld XRF scanners. Other niche uses include electronic bidding documents used by Xindian Software in China and the Notfalldatensatz (German Emergency Data Record) managed by gematik GmbH. To open or analyze XRF data, users typically require proprietary software like Niton Data Transfer (NDT) or equivalent tools from Olympus. For gamers, these files are read natively by the Nexon or CCR Inc game clients. The primary disadvantage of the .NDT format is its heavily proprietary nature. Scientific users often find themselves locked into vendor-specific software just to view simple elemental readouts, while gamers cannot easily edit configuration tables without specialized unpacking tools. These files are not natively supported by web browsers, standard text editors (unless stored as plain UTF-16 LE like in Atlantica Online), or common spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel. If you need to analyze the data, the best conversion targets are standard tabular formats like CSV, XLSX, or plain TXT. Converting to these formats makes the data universally accessible, though proprietary formatting and complex relational database structures might be lost in translation. Because .NDT is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters usually fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the embedded data. However, convert.guru can still identify the file format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. Just drag and drop your file to see what it is and convert it if supported. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your NDT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PLAYER, GED and MOM files.

The NDT Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NDT converter.
