About NCOR files
The .ncor file is a proprietary project format used exclusively by Adobe Encore to author DVDs and Blu-ray discs. It stores timelines, menu navigation, subtitles, and chapter markers.
This format presents severe disadvantages today. Adobe discontinued Encore in 2012, making it exceptionally difficult to find supported software. Furthermore, .ncor files do not contain actual video or audio data. They operate as instruction files that rely on absolute file paths to locate media on your local hard drive. If you share an .ncor file without the original source media, the file is practically useless.
Standard online video converters fail to process this format because there is no media stream to decode. You cannot directly convert an .ncor file to MP4 or MOV. Instead, your best target formats are text-based like TXT or XML to recover the file structures and media paths.
This is a closed, proprietary format where only the original software can properly read or export the authoring data. Just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. Even if full conversion is impossible, our analysis can inspect the internal data to reveal embedded text, helping you find the original file paths of your lost video assets.
