The .MYP file extension represents three distinct, incompatible formats: a Game Resource Archive used by Mythic Entertainment for titles like Warhammer Online, a JSON-based MyPeugeot Trip Data Export generated by the MyPeugeot mobile app, or a ZIP-compressed Motorcycle Engine Map File used by tuning apps like myKTM. The game archive variant stores massive, encrypted collections of 3D models, textures, and audio files. The vehicle telemetry variant stores precise trip metrics, including GPS routes and fuel consumption, but masks its true structure under a custom extension.
Users typically need to convert these files because the native formats are highly restrictive and designed to lock users into proprietary ecosystems. Game archives are closed binary blobs that cannot be opened by standard graphic or audio editors, artificially preventing modders from accessing the inner assets. MyPeugeot telemetry files confuse standard spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel simply because of the obscure extension, despite being structured as standard JSON data. Motorcycle engine maps are completely useless outside of specific, proprietary hardware tools used to flash the bike's ECU.
