The .MVS file extension is most frequently associated with the Multi-View Stereo format used by the OpenMVS library. These files act as project containers for photogrammetry workflows, storing essential data like camera poses, sparse point clouds, and scene definitions required to reconstruct 3D models from 2D images. While powerful for developers using command-line interface (CLI) tools, .MVS files are virtually useless to standard 3D modeling software like Blender or Autodesk Maya without conversion.
