The best approach is to identify the source software: if it's for 3D visualization, aim for rendered outputs (JPG, TIFF); if it's educational, convert to PDF for accessibility; if it's data-related (IBM/Fluke), exporting to structured text formats like XML or JSON is the ideal archiving strategy.
