A .MEPS file is a video project file created by Movavi Video Editor or Movavi Slideshow Maker. It is a proprietary document that saves your editing timeline, transitions, text overlays, and audio levels. It does not contain any actual video or audio data. Instead, it stores file paths that point to the original media assets on your local hard drive.
This format has significant disadvantages. Because it is proprietary, it requires a paid license for Movavi software to open or edit. You cannot upload a .MEPS file to YouTube, play it in VLC Media Player, or open it in a web browser. Furthermore, if you move, rename, or delete the original video clips from your computer, the .MEPS project will break and display 'missing file' errors.
To make your video usable, you must convert the project to a standard playback format.
