About LPDB files

A .lpdb file is a Librarian Pro Database File. Users rely on this format to catalog physical and digital media collections, including books, movies, games, and software inventories.

These files are managed using Librarian Pro developed by Koingo Software.

This format is heavily restrictive and proprietary. It locks your personal catalog data inside a specific application ecosystem. It cannot be opened by standard spreadsheet software or web browsers. If you stop paying for or using the software, your catalog data becomes largely inaccessible to other programs.

The best conversion targets are CSV or XML to migrate your library to other database tools or Microsoft Excel. When exporting, expect to lose proprietary metadata formatting or embedded cover art images.

This is a closed, proprietary database format. Standard online converters fail to process it because the internal relational schema is undocumented. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. Our analysis inspects the file, and if we detect an underlying SQLite structure or readable text strings, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LPDB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The LPDB Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LPDB converter.
