Convert a file to LOCKER
To convert other file formats to the "Encrypted Archive File" file type, you need software like NordLocker or a similar tool.
About LOCKER files
The .LOCKER file format is a proprietary encrypted archive created by NordLocker. Users rely on this format to securely store files locally or in the cloud using end-to-end encryption. The software encrypts everyday documents, images, and videos into a single .LOCKER container.
This format presents severe limitations for daily workflow. It is highly proprietary and fundamentally inaccessible without the native NordLocker application and the exact user credentials. Files locked inside cannot be indexed by system searches, opened by web browsers, or previewed. Furthermore, if you lose your master password or recovery key, the data inside the .LOCKER file is permanently lost. Standard online converters completely fail to process these files because the internal payload is obfuscated with advanced cryptography like AES-256 and Argon2.
To convert your data to accessible formats like PDF, DOCX, or JPG, you must unlock the archive inside the original NordLocker software and export the files to an unencrypted directory. Because this is a closed, proprietary format, third-party tools cannot natively read or convert it. If our analysis detects any accessible embedded data or unencrypted headers, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible, but full decryption will always require the original software.
Convert.Guru analyzes your LOCKER file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The LOCKER Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LOCKER converter.
