About LME files

The .LME file is a Lumion Effects Preset file. Architects and 3D artists use it to save environmental settings, lighting configurations, and post-processing filters for architectural renders. You open and manage these files using Lumion. The biggest disadvantage of the .LME format is its proprietary lock-in. It requires an expensive Lumion license to open and read. These files are useless in other 3D software like Blender or AutoCAD. Furthermore, standard online converters fail to process .LME files because they contain application-specific parameters, not actual 3D geometry or image data. Because this is a closed, proprietary format, direct conversion to universal 3D presets is impossible. Explain clearly why standard online converters fail to process it: they look for mesh data that does not exist here. If our analysis detects an embedded text or XML structure, viewing or conversion to a readable text format may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LME file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted INN, LNM, LS11 and DME files.

The LME Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LME converter.
