Convert LLG to another file type
To convert LLG Logs to another format, you need Alientech K-Suite or other Data software.
Convert a file to LLG
To convert other file formats to the "Hardware Log File" file type, you need software like Alientech K-Suite or a similar tool.
About LLG files
The .llg file extension primarily represents hardware data logs. The most common use case is an ECU tuning tool log file generated by Alientech K-TAG or KESS programmers. Other systems also use this extension, including surveying equipment log files from Leica Geosystems, engine management data from AEM Performance Electronics (LogWorks), and ladder logic simulations from Bytronic Ladsim. These files record raw sensor data, machine states, or communication logs over a specific time period.
To open or read these files correctly, you generally need the software that created them, such as Alientech K-Suite, Leica Geo Office, or LogWorks 3. Because these files are generated by highly specific hardware, the data is structured to be read solely by the manufacturer's proprietary diagnostic tools.
Users typically need to convert .LLG files into standard formats like CSV or TXT to analyze the data in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or to share diagnostic logs with third-party tuners and engineers. The major disadvantage of the .LLG format is its proprietary nature; it locks you into expensive or niche software ecosystems and prevents easy data sharing. Furthermore, raw .LLG files are completely unreadable to standard text editors or generic data viewers.
The best target format for an .LLG file is CSV (Comma Separated Values) or plain TXT, provided the original software supports exporting the log data. Interestingly, .LLG files generated by Alientech tools are often internally structured as standard ZIP archives. In these cases, the best conversion workaround is simply renaming the file to ZIP and extracting its contents, which may reveal the raw log data or configuration files inside.
Converting .LLG files directly using standard online tools is notoriously difficult. Because it is a closed, proprietary format, third-party converters do not possess the parsing logic required to interpret the binary machine data. Often, only the original hardware software can properly read or export the telemetry. Standard online converters fail to process it. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format (like a ZIP archive), viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your LLG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert LLG file to RLG, CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT or DB, you can use Alientech K-Suite or similar software from the "Hardware Data Logging" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to LLG, try Alientech K-Suite or another comparable tool in the "Hardware Data Logging" category.
The LLG Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LLG converter.
