About LE files
.LE files primarily serve as custom Lighting Effect files used by mechanical keyboards, specifically Geek GK and Skyloong brands. These files store user-defined RGB lighting patterns, macro mappings, and LED animations. A secondary usage is found in Apple macOS and iOS devices, where .LE files act as an internationalization data cache to speed up loading localized system text. The main disadvantage of the .LE format is its strictly proprietary nature. If you create an incredible RGB layout on a Skyloong keyboard, you cannot simply share it with a friend who uses a Corsair or Logitech keyboard because the file is locked into the vendor's specific hardware ecosystem. Furthermore, the macOS cache variants are binary blobs that are generally unreadable by standard text editors. Users often want to convert these files to standard .JSON or .XML to reverse-engineer the lighting effects or edit them programmatically. This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because there is no universal standard for RGB lighting profiles or system caches. Standard online converters will fail to process it because the internal structure is closed-source. Often, only the original keyboard software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
