About LBV files

The .lbv extension is primarily associated with Labeljoy, a professional barcode and label software. These files act as proprietary project containers, storing layout definitions, barcode symbologies, text elements, and linked database connections for batch printing. Because .lbv files are not standard image files like JPG or PNG, they cannot be opened in standard viewers like Microsoft Photos or Photoshop. This is a key problem for users who need to share label designs with print shops or clients who do not possess a paid Labeljoy license.

A secondary but significant use of the .lbv format is within LogiKal (by Orgadata, formerly associated with BMA), a construction software for windows, doors, and facades. In this context, the file stores technical position data and calculation details. Users often struggle with these files when attempting to archive project data or share construction plans, as the format is strictly readable only by the LogiKal environment.

To overcome these limitations, the practical workflow involves opening the file in its native software and "converting" it via export. For Labeljoy users, the best practice is exporting to PDF for high-quality professional printing or JPG/PNG for digital proofs. For LogiKal users, converting to DXF (for CAD) or PDF (for documentation) is the standard solution.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LBV file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted LBL and X3G files.
