The .IMS2 file is a proprietary Base Station Diagnostic Log or snapshot file utilized by major telecommunications equipment providers, primarily Nokia and Ericsson. These files capture critical operational data, hardware configurations, and diagnostic traces from Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) via software like Ericsson Network Manager (ENM) and BTSOAM. Field engineers and network technicians use .IMS2 files to troubleshoot cell tower performance, track hardware faults, and optimize network coverage.
