About IGG files

A .IGG file is a proprietary binary data container, most notably functioning as a SuiteProfiler Color Map File developed by Dana Foy, or alternatively as an in-game asset archive for various desktop games. In the professional printing space, these files are utilized by SuiteProfiler to generate device-independent ICC profiles for soft proofing and physical image printing. However, this format carries severe disadvantages for modern users. It is entirely closed-source, completely unsupported by web browsers, and requires legacy macOS software to open natively. Users are typically left with an opaque, unreadable file that locks away valuable color scaling data.

To restore usability, designers typically need to convert .IGG data into universally recognized ICC or ICM color profiles, while game-related .IGG files are best unpacked into standard PNG or JPG textures. Unfortunately, standard online converters fail to process this format because they cannot parse the undocumented binary mapping inside the file. Attempting a generic conversion often results in corrupted data or total failure, as only the original authoring tool possesses the exact rendering logic required to export the contents accurately.

This is where typical conversion tools leave you stranded, but a realistic workaround exists. Our platform analyzes the internal structure of the file; if we detect a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be successfully achieved.

Convert.Guru analyzes your IGG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
