About IDI files

The .idi file extension is predominantly used for Indonesian bank clearing data processed by the Sistem Kliring Nasional Bank Indonesia (SKNBI). While it functions within specialized banking workflows, the file is structurally just a renamed ZIP archive containing plain text data. Completely unrelated software systems also generate .idi files, notably Gran Turismo by Polyphony Digital for console game car parts data, and Hewlett-Packard for Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) Controller Event Logs.

Users frequently encounter issues opening .idi files because standard operating systems do not natively recognize the extension. For banking professionals, relying entirely on proprietary portal software just to view raw transaction data is an unnecessary workflow bottleneck. For gamers and sysadmins, the files are closed-source and proprietary, meaning they cannot be natively viewed in standard text editors or analysis tools without specific ecosystem software.

If you have a banking .idi file, the best conversion target is TXT or CSV. Because the file is essentially a standard ZIP, conversion primarily requires extracting the internal text files. In contrast, Gran Turismo data and HP logs are proprietary binary or specialized raw log formats. Converting these is notoriously difficult, as their undocumented internal structures guarantee that standard online converters will fail.

This is why this file format is difficult to open or convert: often only the original software can properly read or export the data. However, convert.guru can still identify the file format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. Just drag and drop your file to see what it is and convert it if supported. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format - such as the zipped text in SKNBI files - viewing or extraction may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your IDI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted LZH, GGJ and RU-PTM files.
