About HUM files

The .HUM file acts as a configuration script for OMSI The Bus Simulator developed by MR Software. It controls the logic, 3D model assignments, paths, and behaviors of 'humans' (pedestrians and bus passengers) within the game environment.

The primary disadvantage of a .HUM file is its hyper-specific, proprietary nature. It is heavily tied to the OMSI game engine. You cannot easily preview these files outside of the game or specialized modding tools. Standard text editors might open them if they are plain text, but the syntax is unique to OMSI, meaning structural errors can break the game.

Because this is a closed, proprietary game configuration format, standard online converters fail to process it. It is difficult to convert a .HUM file into standard formats like JSON or XML without losing OMSI-specific logic. If our analysis detects a supported underlying format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your HUM file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted MP3, NOTES, MUSIC and SONG files.
