The .htmod file is a Hardware Tycoon Game Mod File used to modify or add content to Hardware Tycoon, a popular hardware manufacturing simulation game developed by Haxor. These files contain custom components, visual assets, and scripts that alter base gameplay. Modders create and distribute these files to share new CPUs, motherboards, or features with the player community.
The primary disadvantage of the .htmod format is its strictly proprietary nature. It requires the base game installed to execute and is entirely useless outside of the Hardware Tycoon environment.
