About H0 files
The .H0 file is an internal cache file generated by MAGIX video editing software, such as MAGIX Movie Studio (formerly Movie Edit Pro). It stores graphical waveform information for audio tracks. When you drag an audio or video clip onto the timeline, the software calculates the visual peaks and saves them in the .H0 file. Users often search for ways to convert this file because they find it next to their video projects and mistake it for a playable audio file. The main disadvantage is that it is a proprietary helper format. It contains zero actual sound data, meaning you cannot play it or listen to it. Because it lacks audio streams, standard online converters fail to process it. You cannot convert .H0 to MP3 or WAV. If you delete it, the editor simply rebuilds it next time you open the project. This file format is difficult to open or convert because it is a closed, proprietary data structure designed exclusively for MAGIX software. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your H0 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert H0 file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use MAGIX Movie Studio or similar software from the "Audio Waveform Cache Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to H0, try MAGIX Movie Studio or another comparable tool in the "Audio Waveform Cache Data" category.
The H0 Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our H0 converter.
