About GSZIP files

A .gszip file is a GameSalad Marketplace Asset File used to package and distribute game templates, logic blocks, sprites, and sounds. Developers use this format within the GameSalad Creator visual game engine to share resources across projects.

The main disadvantage of the .gszip format is its proprietary shell. You cannot view the internal assets natively on your operating system or web browser. It locks your game resources into the GameSalad ecosystem, requiring specific software to access. If you stop using the engine, your graphics and audio are trapped.

To recover your assets, the best target format is a standard ZIP archive, which allows you to extract raw PNG images, OGG or MP3 audio files, and internal XML project data. Because this is a packaged, application-specific archive, standard online converters often fail to process it natively. Usually, only the original software can properly read or export the compiled project data.

Convert.Guru analyzes your GSZIP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
