Convert FSL to another file type
To convert FSL logs and forms to another format, you need FORScan or other Data software.
Convert a file to FSL
To convert other file formats to the "Diagnostic Log File" file type, you need software like FORScan or a similar tool.
About FSL files
The .FSL file extension is most commonly associated with FORScan Live Streaming Log files. FORScan is a specialized diagnostic software used to scan and modify modules in Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. Users generate .FSL files to record live telemetry data from a vehicle's OBD2 port. Alternatively, .FSL files can represent Borland Delphi or Microsoft FoxPro compiled forms, or scripts used by the 3D modeling software Form•Z.
These files present significant usability challenges. A FORScan .FSL file uses a closed, proprietary binary format. It is impossible to open natively in standard spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel or text editors. To visualize the diagnostic graphs, users are forced to install the exact FORScan application. Similarly, Delphi and FoxPro .FSL files are compiled, legacy executable components that require outdated development environments to read or modify.
Users typically need to convert FORScan logs to CSV or TXT to analyze the vehicle data in third-party visualization tools or share them with mechanics. Unfortunately, standard online converters fail because the format is undocumented and proprietary.
Often, only the original software can properly read or export this data. For example, FORScan requires users to manually load the log and export it to a generic spreadsheet format. Our analysis tools can inspect the file's internal structure. If we detect supported embedded text or underlying data, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FSL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted OTF, TTF, PDF, ABT, BETA and PTM files.

The FSL Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FSL converter.
