About FND files
The .FND file extension primarily acts as a saved desktop search criteria file used by Copernic Desktop Search and legacy Microsoft Windows systems. A smaller subset of these files stores specialized pressure calibration data for Fluke Calibration software. You typically need the original Copernic application or Fluke metrology software to natively open or edit these files. Users often want to convert .FND files because the format is highly proprietary, lacks cross-platform compatibility, and requires specific localized software environments to view. The biggest disadvantage is that .FND files do not contain actual files or media; they only store search parameters, keywords, or raw calibration settings. Standard web browsers and document editors cannot open them. If you need to extract this data, the best target formats are TXT, XML, or CSV, though you will lose the ability to automatically execute the search in the native application. This file format is exceptionally difficult to convert because it is a closed data container. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. However, convert.guru can still identify the file format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FND file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FND file to TMP, TEMP, CACHE, LOG, BAK, OLD, NEW, PART, DOWNLOAD, CRDOWNLOAD, LOCK or PID, you can use Copernic Desktop Search or similar software from the "Saved Search & Calibration Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DEVICE, CACHE, SOCK, SYMLINK, PID, MOUNT, FIFO, LOG, PIPE, TMP, JUNCTION or TEMP files to FND, try Copernic Desktop Search or another comparable tool in the "Saved Search & Calibration Data" category.
The FND Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FND converter.
