About FLUX files

The .FLUX file extension typically serves two highly specialized purposes. First, it functions as a mechanical ventilator data file generated by equipment from Hamilton Medical. Second, it is used as an XML-based system component model document for Bosch Flux Studio.

The primary disadvantage of the .FLUX format is its proprietary and domain-specific nature. Files from Hamilton Medical contain dense, specialized telemetry or patient data that require expensive, niche medical software to open. Similarly, the Bosch variant stores complex engineering variables that are useless without the correct environment. Users often face major roadblocks because standard software cannot parse these closed structures, and they do not have access to the original heavy engineering or medical suites.

When trying to make this data accessible, the best conversion targets are standard text formats. The Bosch version is built on XML, meaning it can often be converted directly to XML or TXT. The Hamilton medical data is best converted to CSV or XLSX for analysis in spreadsheet software, provided the data can be extracted.

Because this file format is difficult to open or convert, standard online converters often fail. Frequently, only the original software can properly read or export the data. However, just drag and drop your file on convert.guru to identify the format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format like XML, viewing or data extraction may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FLUX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted ITG, PS16, MONO, LIST and FP8 files.

The FLUX Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FLUX converter.
