About FLKA files
A .FLKA file is a Folder Lock Portable Locker File created by NewSoftwares. It functions as a secure, encrypted virtual vault for storing private files. These files are managed exclusively by Folder Lock software. The core disadvantage of this format is its proprietary, closed ecosystem. Files are locked behind AES-256 encryption. It requires the original software and a master password to open, making it completely unsupported by standard operating systems or web browsers. If you lose the password, the data is inaccessible. Direct conversion to formats like ZIP or PDF is mathematically impossible without the password. The recommended workaround is to mount the locker in Folder Lock, extract your standard files, and then convert those individual files to accessible formats. This file format is notoriously difficult to open or convert because it is a closed, proprietary format designed specifically to prevent unauthorized access. Only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FLKA file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FLKA file to BAK, BACKUP, OLD, TMP, TEMP, ARC, ZIP, TAR, GZ, 7Z, RAR or ISO, you can use Folder Lock or similar software from the "Encrypted Virtual Drive Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SNAPSHOT, OLD, IMG, RESTORE, ISO, COPY, VMDK, TMP, VHD, BAK, ARCHIVE or BACKUP files to FLKA, try Folder Lock or another comparable tool in the "Encrypted Virtual Drive Storage" category.
The FLKA Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FLKA converter.
