The .FIRM file format is predominantly a proprietary, compiled binary package used as a hardware payload. Its primary use case is within the Nintendo 3DS homebrew ecosystem, acting as boot firmware (such as Boot9Strap or Luma3DS). A secondary use case is for distributing firmware updates to Evolis card printers. These files are highly specific to the hardware architecture they target. Because .FIRM is a closed, proprietary binary, standard online converters fail completely - they are designed for documents, not raw device payloads.
