About FIRE files

The .fire file extension represents three distinct formats: a Cocos Creator game engine scene, a FiRE simulation design, or an Argo float oceanographic data file. When created by Cocos Creator, this file stores game level layouts, user interface elements, and node hierarchies using a standard JSON structure. FiRE simulation files are proprietary documents used to choreograph complex physical fireworks displays. Alternatively, Argo float files contain raw climate and ocean metric data collected by the International Argo Program.

The primary disadvantage of .fire files is their extreme fragmentation and heavy reliance on niche ecosystems. A Cocos scene file is useless without the accompanying game project assets. FiRE simulation files are closed, proprietary formats that require specific, expensive software to open. Standard web browsers and basic image viewers cannot render the visual designs or compile the game code.

Because these are complex project and simulation files, directly converting a .fire file into a static format like PDF or JPG usually causes massive data loss. For game files, developers must export the project to standard build formats like .HTML5, APK, or IPA directly within the engine. Standard online converters universally fail to process these files because they lack the specialized compilation environments required to interpret the proprietary node data. Just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. Since Cocos .fire files use an underlying JSON architecture, our tool can successfully inspect the file, extract the raw code, and help you view the internal structure even when a full visual rendering is impossible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FIRE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted UDM, HRF and TRANS files.

The FIRE Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FIRE converter.
