About FF2 files

.FF2 is primarily a FastFile 2 database file developed by ComponentAce, often used as an embedded database in Delphi and C++Builder applications. It also serves as an application-specific data file for agricultural software like Snap-Plus, a protocol analysis recording for Rohde & Schwarz RAPS, or even a Freak Fortress 2 plugin for the game Team Fortress 2. These files are highly proprietary and closed. You cannot easily open a .FF2 file with standard database tools like MySQL or SQLite. The data is locked inside the specific application's ecosystem, making data extraction and migration incredibly frustrating. The best target formats are CSV, XML, or TXT for standard data interoperability. However, direct conversion is extremely complex and usually requires the original software's export function. This file format is difficult to open or convert because it lacks public documentation. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. We can inspect the file, show raw text or internal content, and if our analysis detects a supported underlying format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FF2 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted CGP, TREE, MOC and FF3 files.

The FF2 Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FF2 converter.
