About ESB files
An .ESB file typically contains interactive whiteboard session data created by eBeam Scrapbook or WBoard software. It stores vector strokes, text, and images generated during presentations or meetings. Alternatively, an .ESB file can be a JBoss Enterprise Service Bus deployment archive created by Red Hat. These archives are standard ZIP containers holding Java classes, XML configurations, and libraries required to deploy services on a JBoss server.
The eBeam format is strictly proprietary. It requires specific legacy hardware and software to open, meaning meeting participants cannot easily review the notes on their own devices. Files are completely unsupported by web browsers. JBoss .ESB files are meant for server deployment, making their internal contents hard to inspect without dedicated extraction tools.
For eBeam whiteboard sessions, convert to PDF for document archiving, or JPG and PNG for web sharing. This flattens the strokes into fixed images, losing editability but ensuring universal access. For JBoss archives, convert or rename the file to ZIP to easily extract and view the internal XML and JAR files. Drag and drop your file here to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ESB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The ESB Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our ESB converter.
