Extract text from Danfoss logs and images (D00)
To convert D00 Danfoss files to another format, you need Danfoss DXL-LogViewer or other Data software.
To convert other file formats to the "Proprietary Data Log" file type, you need software like Danfoss DXL-LogViewer or a similar tool.
The .D00 file extension is primarily used for two completely different purposes: a compressor controller data log created by Danfoss DXL controller software, or a split compressed CD image file generated by FarStone VirtualDrive.
As a log file, it stores historical performance data for HVAC and compressor hardware. As a disk image, it acts as the first data chunk of a multi-volume archive (followed by D01, .D02, etc.) used to virtualize optical media. Both of these formats are highly proprietary. The Danfoss logs are specialized binary or text outputs that require the specific DXL-LogViewer to parse sensor readings properly. Standard text editors often fail to display this data clearly. The VirtualDrive files are locked into an old, proprietary disk image ecosystem. You cannot natively mount a .D00 file in modern Windows or macOS environments, and standard archive utilities like 7-Zip cannot extract them.
Users typically need to convert Danfoss .D00 logs to CSV or TXT for deep data analysis in Microsoft Excel. For VirtualDrive archives, the primary goal is converting the entire split set into a standard ISO file to mount it natively on a modern operating system without needing legacy software.
