About CLN files

A .cln file primarily serves as a VPN tunnel configuration file used by apps like HTTP Custom AIO Tunnel VPN or HTTP Injector. It stores connection settings, payloads, and server details required to bypass network restrictions. However, the .cln extension is highly fragmented and also represents VendUI vending machine data packages, Cash Register Express business transaction logs, or quarantined executables isolated by Avira Antivirus. You often need to convert these files to extract the underlying data, but standardizing them is difficult. The format is proprietary, and VPN configurations are typically encrypted or hardware-locked to prevent tampering, meaning they require a $50/month subscription or specific app to open. Quarantined files are intentionally rendered unusable by renaming their EXE extension to prevent malware execution. For conversion targets, VendUI packages can often be renamed to ZIP to extract internal files, while cash register logs can be converted to TXT or CSV for readable text. Standard online converters fail to process .cln files because there is no universal structure for this extension. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
