The .cl2lyt file is a Comic Life 2 Layout File developed by plasq to store panel arrangements, speech bubbles, and text styling properties for digital comics.
Opening this file directly requires the original commercial software, Comic Life 2. This presents a major disadvantage: it is a highly proprietary, closed format. These files cannot be viewed in standard web browsers, and sharing them requires the recipient to purchase and install the exact same software. Furthermore, .cl2lyt files often act merely as blueprints, holding external path references instead of embedding the heavy image data itself.
To safely share your work, you must convert the .cl2lyt layout into universal formats like PDF for reading, or JPG and PNG for web publishing.
