About CH1 files

The .CH1 file extension is primarily used for specialized scientific and graphing data. It typically functions as an Oxygen sensor data log file generated by Mettler Toledo OXY sensors, or as a chart data file utilized by Golden Software Grapher. These files store specific, localized datasets, such as chemical readouts over a designated time period or structured vector graphing points for scientific visualization.

Because these formats are highly proprietary, they suffer from significant disadvantages. A .CH1 file is practically useless unless you have the exact scientific instrument software or an active, paid license to specialized graphing tools. Standard web browsers, text editors, and spreadsheet apps often cannot natively interpret the binary or formatted internal structure of these files. Users frequently need to convert .CH1 to CSV, XLSX, or TXT to perform standard statistical analysis or share findings with colleagues.

This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because standard online converters fail to parse the closed schemas used by scientific hardware manufacturers. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the raw data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying text structure or embedded tabular format, viewing the log or converting the data to a usable format may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CH1 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PGC, CMBL and ERG files.

The CH1 Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CH1 converter.
