These files act as proprietary data containers or compressed software archives. The primary disadvantage of a .BZF file is its reliance on specialized, closed-ecosystem software. Boardmaker files are locked into an expensive assistive technology platform, while game data files are hardcoded to specific game engines like GRIN, BeamNG.drive, or the classic BioWare Infinity Engine. This means standard web browsers and document editors cannot open them natively.
