Extract text from Bonita or Bose files (BOS)

The .BOS file is primarily a Bonita Open Solution business process model archive created by Bonita Studio. It stores business process definitions, workflow data, forms, and UI configurations. Less commonly, the extension is used for Bose ToneMatch audio engine firmware update files, ComfortClick building automation projects, or Counter-Strike game bot definitions.
The main disadvantage of a .BOS file is its high dependency on specific, heavy parent applications. You cannot view a Bonita workflow or a ComfortClick automation layout natively in web browsers or standard operating systems. If you do not have a licensed or installed copy of the software, the file appears inaccessible and useless.
Fortunately, Bonita Open Solution .BOS files are actually standard ZIP archives. The best workaround is to convert or rename the file to ZIP. Once extracted, you will find standard XML and BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) files which contain the actual workflow logic. Conversely, Bose ToneMatch files are strictly proprietary binaries meant only for hardware updates and should not be altered.
Because the .BOS extension is shared by wildly different systems - from enterprise workflow tools to audio hardware - standard online converters almost always fail to process them. They cannot parse the distinct internal binary structures.
