About BFW files

A .BFW file is a data container typically used as an MIDB database or note repository by BibleWorks, a discontinued biblical exegesis software. Alternatively, it can function as a Glossary File for Babylon translation software. These files store specialized textual data, linguistic pairs, and user notes. The most significant problem with .BFW files is that they are orphaned. Because BibleWorks ceased operations in 2018, modern operating systems often cannot run the original software. This forces users into a frustrating situation where their own research is locked inside a proprietary, closed file format. If you attempt to open a .BFW file in a standard text editor, you will be met with a confusing wall of garbled binary code mixed with fragments of readable text. Babylon glossary files similarly trap your linguistic data inside an ecosystem that requires specific software. To preserve your data, conversion is highly recommended. Converting .BFW to CSV is ideal for migrating structured database fields into modern tools. For straightforward reading and research recovery, converting to TXT or PDF is best, though you will lose the proprietary software-specific formatting and interlinked indexing. Because .BFW relies on closed-source formatting, standard online converters completely fail to process it. Just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to identify the exact format version and inspect the underlying content. Even without the original software, our extraction tools can often bypass the binary headers and rescue your embedded text, making your data accessible again.

Convert.Guru analyzes your BFW file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted JPGENX, GLK and JPEG files.
