Extract text from Audials plug-ins (APLG)

APLG files are plugins used by Audials One and Audials Radiotracker to add features to the core application. They contain code, configuration rules, and search logic for capturing and recording internet media streams. Developed by Audials AG, these plugin files are often bundled and distributed inside APLP packages.
Users often try to convert .APLG files because they believe the files contain actual downloaded media. Since the software records music and video, users expect to find MP3 or MP4 files. However, the .APLG format only holds the instructions required by the software to locate and record that media. It is a highly specialized format that requires the original software to function. Standard media converters will fail completely when trying to process it.
Converting an .APLG file into playable media is impossible. The best conversion targets are archive formats like ZIP or plain text like TXT. This allows users to inspect the underlying code. Because the format is closed, understanding the extracted data remains difficult.
