To convert other file formats to the "Extended Backup Archive" file type, you need software like zebNet or a similar tool.
About ZBFX files
The .ZBFX file extension represents a zebNet Backup File Extended, a proprietary archive format created by backup utilities developed by zebNet. These files are primarily used to store full or incremental backups of application-specific data, such as email clients, web browser profiles, and local databases.
To open or restore a .ZBFX file, users must use the exact zebNet software that generated the backup. The main disadvantage of this format is its strict vendor lock-in. It is a closed, proprietary container. You cannot double-click to browse its contents, nor can you extract the files using standard archive managers like 7-Zip or WinRAR. If you lose access to your software license or the software becomes discontinued, your backed-up data becomes effectively inaccessible.
Users often attempt to convert .ZBFX files to standard formats like ZIP or TAR to regain control of their raw data. Because this is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects an unencrypted underlying format, limited viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ZBFX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
