About YCM files

.YCM files are project files used by various Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Maker tools. They store all the metadata required to render a custom trading card, including the card name, level, attribute, type, description text, ATK/DEF stats, and a reference or encoded string for the card artwork. Typically, these are used in desktop versions of the card maker or specific offline generators built for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game community. The major drawback of the .YCM format is that it is strictly a proprietary project file, not an image. You cannot share this file on social media, open it in standard image viewers, or read it without the specific card maker application installed. Standard web browsers and image editors like Adobe Photoshop cannot parse the layout. Users generally need to export or convert .YCM files into raster images like PNG or JPG to share their custom cards online. Alternatively, converting to PDF is highly useful for printing a custom deck. Because standard online converters lack the rendering engine and proprietary graphic assets (like the card frames, spell icons, and level stars) required to visually construct the card, direct visual conversion is often impossible without the original software. Our tools can inspect the raw data inside the .YCM file, often revealing embedded text, card effects, or underlying structures, allowing you to salvage the text data even if the visual render fails.

Convert.Guru analyzes your YCM file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
