The .wjp file extension primarily identifies a Waterjet Project file used in industrial manufacturing. These files are generated by CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, such as that provided by WARDJet or Flow (FlowPath), to control high-pressure waterjet cutters. The file contains vital fabrication data, including 2D vector geometry, toolpaths, material nesting layouts, and cut speed parameters.
The frustrating part for users is that .wjp files are proprietary 'machine-ready' containers. You cannot open them in standard design tools like Adobe Illustrator or AutoCAD to view the part geometry.
