Extract text from Waterjet and WildTangent files (WJP)

To convert other file formats to the "CAD/CAM Project & Game Image" file type, you need software like WARDJet Software or a similar tool.
.wjp files generally serve two completely distinct purposes in the wild. The primary format is a Waterjet Project file used by CNC waterjet cutting systems, specifically those utilizing CAD/CAM routing software like WARDJet. The secondary format is a WildTangent compressed JPEG image, which was utilized as a proprietary game asset in older PC games developed by WildTangent.
Users frequently encounter major roadblocks when trying to handle either version of the .wjp format. The Waterjet project variant is a closed, proprietary manufacturing file. It contains specific machine toolpaths and material settings that cannot be opened or viewed by standard clients or vendors without expensive, specialized software. Sharing these files directly is essentially useless for collaboration. Similarly, the WildTangent image format is entirely unsupported by modern web browsers, operating systems, and standard image editors like Adobe Photoshop. It requires the original game engine to decompress and display.
To make these files usable, you must convert them. For the CAD/CAM variant, extracting the geometry to standard DXF or DWG is the best solution for universal interoperability, though machine-specific logic is lost. For the WildTangent variant, converting to JPG or PNG is required to view the images on modern devices.
