Extract text from WinDev blueprints and drawings (WDW)

The .WDW file extension primarily represents a WinDev Window Description File created by PC SOFT WinDev, a Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform. These files store the visual interface layout, properties, and embedded logic for application windows. Alternatively, in legacy computing, the .WDW extension was used for WordPerfect Drawing files created by early MS-DOS versions of WordPerfect.
Both file types suffer from severe proprietary lock-in. WinDev .WDW files are closed, undocumented binaries. They are fundamentally tied to the expensive WinDev ecosystem and often require the exact IDE version they were authored in. You cannot simply open them in a standard text editor, nor is there a direct conversion path to modern web UI standards like HTML or CSS. The legacy WordPerfect Drawing format is equally problematic. It is an obsolete, dead vector format entirely ignored by modern graphics software like Adobe Illustrator or web browsers.
For legacy WordPerfect graphics, the ideal target formats are open standards like SVG or PDF, but modern support is virtually non-existent without using legacy Corel software. For WinDev files, migration to other IDEs requires manual rebuilding.
