Extract text from Voicemod packages (VS2)

To convert other file formats to the "Voice Profile Package" file type, you need software like Voicemod or a similar tool.
A .VS2 file is a proprietary configuration and data package created by Voicemod, the leading real-time voice changer software for streamers and gamers. These files typically contain specific voice profiles, soundboard assignments, or custom audio effect chains introduced in Voicemod V2.
The main limitation for users is the misconception that a .VS2 file is a standard audio container like MP3 or WAV. Because it is a specialized setting file - often functioning as a container for metadata and internal references - it cannot be opened in standard media players like VLC or edited in Audacity. Users frequently encounter these files when downloading "voice packs" from community forums, only to realize they are locked into the Voicemod ecosystem and cannot be easily previewed or converted.
For functional use, the only reliable workflow is to import the file back into Voicemod using its internal "Import" function. If your goal is to extract audio for editing or web use, you typically must load the profile in the software and record the output, as direct conversion tools for this proprietary format are non-existent. For archiving, wrapping .VS2 files in a ZIP archive is recommended to preserve file integrity during transfer.
