A .vpe file is a Vanishing Point Export file created by Adobe Photoshop. It stores 3D perspective plane data generated when a user defines spatial grids using the Vanishing Point filter. Its primary use case is transferring this 3D perspective math directly into Adobe After Effects to animate scenes or map 2D images onto 3D surfaces.
This format is extremely problematic if you do not pay for a $50/month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. It is a highly proprietary, closed file format. It does not contain actual image pixels or standard 3D meshes; it only stores the coordinate math of the planes and references to the source image. You cannot open a .vpe file in standard web browsers, generic image viewers, or standard 3D modeling software like Blender or Maya.
