About UPR files

A .UPR file is primarily used as a UniOP Project File created by Exor International HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software. It stores the interface layouts, logic, and system configurations required for industrial touch panels. Occasionally, a .UPR file is used as a FileMaker User Dictionary by Claris FileMaker Pro to store custom spelling words, or as a Fractal Parameters File. The .UPR format is highly proprietary and closed-source. It requires specialized, expensive industrial software or specific database versions to open or modify. Files cannot be natively viewed in standard text editors or web browsers. The tight coupling to specific HMI hardware versions makes sharing these files extremely frustrating.
